Today I remembered to bring the correct notebooks. Hopefully I will manage to get some time to work on the required brainstorming between day job and taekwondo!

The sky was so beautiful this morning when I walked across campus to my office.

There were several vendors at the Capital District RenFaire with Pride items for sale; all of the ones I spoke to were Pride year-round, not rainbow capitalism, which is awesome. I had to buy two pairs of these scalemail earrings so I could wear one of each flag--representing my invisible queerness!

Happy Pride! These are the flags flying at my seasonal site at our campground.

I got a custom owl in (close to) PHU colors. I love it!!

I've been writing fanfic this week! About 4200 words so far, and still going. This is a Sterekson fic for May Trope Mayhem with three tropes that inspired it.

I know I look skinny and breakable, but in order to be a decent bodyguard, I’ve got more muscles than you an see.” The look Jackson shoots him is undecipherable, his lips pressed tight together. Stiles chalks it up to the pain. “Trust me, I can take whatever you have to give,” Stiles says. “Put your weight on me.” Jackson sighs heavily. “I wonder sometimes if you hear yourself when you speak.”

Beautiful though. And the sky was still in sunrise mode at 7am so I enjoyed it while I ate breakfast.

I finished making my first cardigan and thought "Oh, just in time for summer, can't wear it until fall."

Well, due to complete wonkiness in the day job building's heating/AC, it's likely to be frigid until it warms up properly outside. So. This very heavy sweater is perfect for a 67F office!

At our campground we are moving to a new site and we will be on the river. I am very thankful that years ago the owner built a high berm to protect from flooding. The river gods were volatile after the storms last weekend.

She closes her eyes, but she knows that it’s Delilah who sits on her other side, takes her hand, and twines their fingers together. “It’s going to be okay,” Kit murmurs. People move, and there are quiet conversations as Alaric leaves, and Shawn and Dax step outside. Carolyn doesn’t want to think about any of what’s happening around her. Instead— “What’s happening to me?” she asks, and Kit takes her other hand, squeezing tightly. “I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s bad,” he says softly.

Stare at the ceiling and tell it the rest of your story.” “How do you know I’m not done?” Carolyn does as she says anyway, stretching out along Mac’s bed, arms behind her head, staring up at the sloped ceiling. At the lowest point, it’s almost close enough to touch. “You don’t feel done, and I don’t even have to be Heather to know that.” Mac rubs her shoulder. “Tell the ceiling.”

Carolyn just wants life to go back to being simple. Easy. She wants to wake up in the morning and go to class, and she wants to go to bed at night knowing that the same thing will happen the next day.
