Lukewarm take: you CAN be born with talent BUT talent alone does not an artist make, nor does it put one above those who learned and practiced their way to the same level. The same way people can be born good at singing or learn to be good, is the same for art or any other skill-related activity.
I don't believe in being born with talent, but I DO think the reason I'm an artist is that my ADHD only allows me to get REAL BIG FAT DOPAMINE drops from certain things and those things are mainly:
1. seeing a cool or cute little guy
2. porn
And thus we arrive at my particular set of skills
