To Republicans, "strengthening" means "making sure only those who DESERVE it are getting it." By getting rid of all those mythical undocumented folks and video gamers on their parents' sofas, they've "strengthened" Medicaid.

YES. This is the "waste" in their "waste, fraud, and abuse." Vought and his ilk see programs like this as waste that taxes (THEIR taxes) shouldn't be paying for. Democrats should be all over the news saying Republicans consider services for their kids "waste."

This is of course completely horrible and completely expected. I believe our messaging (and by "our" I mean Democratic) should be: they cut this because THIS is what the consider "waste." Vought and his ilk don't think taxes (THEIR taxes) should pay to help your kids. To them, it's WASTE.
