If the left didn't see what was going to happen with a Trump election, it's the left's fault.

And the choice will be the same in 2028: Republican who hates democracy, a democrat who supports democracy but isn't liberal enough for some, or sitting around pouting that dems aren't liberal enough while letting democracy die.

Average people who were paying attention knew that Trump was a much worse choice in every area, including the Middle East. So anyone who didn't vote for Harris is responsible.

I recently discovered your YouTube channel, and it's great. As a longtime Pirates fan, how about a story about a story about the Sept 1, 1971 Pirates lineup that consisted of only black and brown players for the first time in history? It pre-dates your career, but it's a story worth telling.

Name five democrats who are going to vote to block the release of the files.

Say you want to make Skubal look better than Skenes without saying it. Just randomly pick 70 starts.
November 13, 2025 at 8:58 PM
No, it's not. Everyone is saying that the dems caved without any explanation about what they could've done to not cave. I mean, you do realize that the Rs would have kept the government closed forever rather than give in.

I probably agree with everything you believe in, but this wasn't winnable.
November 13, 2025 at 4:27 AM
I want to know specifically what the democrats could've done in this situation that would've resulted in something positive.

I know the large problems in the world, but what could've been done. I need details, not generic complaints; otherwise, I have not reason to believe you don't know either.
November 13, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Tell me what their path to victory was? Rs would happily let people starve, would never support subsidies, and consider a shutdown government a good government. And Rs ignore public pressure to do the right thing.

I want details: What the DNC could do to win in that situation?
November 13, 2025 at 12:24 AM
The Rs control the House, Senate, and Presidency, and Rs wouldn't care if everyone on SNAP starved to death and the government always stayed closed. Plus, they will never support subsidies.

So tell me, with details, what was the D path to victory? (Hint: there wasn't one.)
November 13, 2025 at 12:22 AM
I am still waiting for you to give me a step-by-step process that would have resulted in the Democrats winning the shutdown battle.

Again, please educate me. Don't whine about them caving. Explain the path to victory to me.
November 12, 2025 at 9:29 PM
And, for the record, you were the one making the argument that protecting the filibuster would not be reason enough to end the shut down
November 12, 2025 at 6:48 PM
I want the step-by-step process for a democratic victory in this scenario.

It's easy to say they caved. It's impossible to explain a path to victory.
November 12, 2025 at 6:35 PM
They also don't care about public pressure.
November 12, 2025 at 6:34 PM
I don't know. I wasn't in the room. Neither were you.

I'd like to know the step-by-step process that would've resulted in a different outcome. Rs don't care about starving people, think a shutdown is good, and will never vote for ACA subsidies.

How were the Ds ever going to win? Educate me.
November 12, 2025 at 6:34 PM
If you do not realize the types of laws that would be passed right now if it weren't for the filibuster, you're not paying attention. Free and fair elections would be a thing of the past if the current Rs only needed a simple majority to pass bills.
November 12, 2025 at 5:51 PM
I get the desire to fight, but unless someone provides me with a path to victory, it was a useless fight, which was inflicting pain on tens of millions.
November 11, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Agreed. And I'd also like to know the step-by-step process of how Ds would get Rs to concede when they a) don't care if people starve, b) consider shutting the government down to be a good thing and, 3) with the majority and presidency, Rs will NEVER in a billion years increase ACA subsidies.
November 11, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Yes, so once people start paying the new rates, there might be more urgency on Rs to make a change.
November 9, 2025 at 11:15 PM
The new rates go into effect in January.
November 9, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Because they can't win. The Republicans will, under no circumstances, extend ACA subsidies now. I'm guessing Ds are hoping that, at the end of January, when people are furious about the increase in ACA costs, that Rs will be more reasonable. Fighting an unwinnable batter is useless.
November 9, 2025 at 10:42 PM
The most recent election and the most recent polling data seems to indicate that they're starting to get it.
November 9, 2025 at 5:39 PM
You are correct, and the administration is still fighting making full payments through appeal.
November 7, 2025 at 11:00 PM
You are correct, of course, but seeing that he is the strongest and most vocal and most effective antidote to Trump makes a very strong case for supporting him as a presidential. The liberal search for perfection is a big part of how we got onto this ledge where democracy dangles.

It's call tit for tat. Cope.
