Reinstall seven-sided macro-lensing star. As this Head Unit is designed to work with both the Vintage Zodiac and the Heretic's Zodiac, the apex should be aligned towards the nearest large gravity well.

Take extra precaution to verify orientation of all three lenses. "Concave into the Control Unit, nothing to it. Powered on while Convex, focuses through Hex."

Open the equipment case, and inspect for missing parts, broken lenses, strange teeth, and Black Iron. Sabotage is common within the Head Unit Assembly.

As always, ensure your equipment cases are free of any untoward damage. Check locks, latches, seals, and warnings. Consult a neutral-party latchsmith if you suspect your case has been tampered or sabotaged.
