We have a YouTube (not YouTube TV) family subscription and most of what we watch is on there. YouTube Music comes with it, and when Google made Google Podcasts disappear, all my podcasts were migrated there as well.

I used to listen to podcasts on Google Podcasts, which was a fantastic app. Then Google killed it and had its users go to YouTube/YouTube Music. That might be why so many more people are on there now. Google Podcasts app was superior in every way, but Google loves to kill its own stuff.
