We've added a "misleading" label to the account for users who subscribe to us.

When we take the step to label an account misleading, it shows up as a warning that you can click through to the view the post.

If we get a label action wrong, report it to us and we'll work to fix it.

Onwards - building trust, collectively.

Labels only appear if you subscribe to a labeler, so it's important that we build a wide network of people subscribing so that we can build a community of trust.

You can subscribe to multiple labelers, and we'll share some in coming days.

In the meantime, here's how we're building trust on Bluesky:

1. Visit our profile, and click "subscribe to labeler"
2. Visit our website, and see if any of the currently available labels apply to you.
3. Request verification if they do.
4. Share this post with your network.

We need help to do this. We need volunteer moderators and verifiers who are willing to build a layer of trust and accountability for our service, to stand up, and help us build trust collectively. If you're in, head over to trustcollective.org and let us know.

We also see a role for us to play in building safety on Bluesky. Our labeling service can also label abusive, spamming, misleading, or other dangerous accounts.

We commit to listening to our subscribers, and aiming for low-touch moderation that responds to changing times.

We believe in community-built trust. We will publish accountability reports on the labels we use and issue, and how many are refused and why.

We'll engage with subscribers to make sure we're labeling the right way.

We'll expand our labels to meet the needs of our community.

If you request verification, one of our verifiers or moderators will reach out via Bluesky or email to find a private, simple way to verify your identity and your ownership of your account.
