honestly agree with this, a crossover like Miku is really funny but some original designs genuinely are just cool in their own right

after doing all this, i ended up with 92 series and 107 brands currently in the game - neither even coming close to PJiggles' estimated guess of 223 properties in Smash! In fact, there seems to only be 199 properties represented! (Fortnite included)

i put them all into a spreadsheet and decided to split them between 'Series' and 'Brand' - I loosely defined 'series' as a piece of fictional media and 'brand' to encompass companies, people and objects

this isn't exact but what i've done is i've gone to the fortnite wiki page that talks about collaborations that happened or had an item in-game and written down every single collab that the wiki mentions - this page seems to exclude all the Jam Track collabs
