Schumer could have done something, and didn't; he rolled over faster than my corgi for a biscuit. I am Canadian, and even I know a shutdown reflects badly on the ruling party, and the minority party can use that as leverage.

I believe that part of the problem is the reluctance that parents have to tell their child ( whatever the age) that what they are saying is rubbish. Yes, there ARE such things as stupid questions, and there are definitely stupid opinions. As a parent, and teacher, I have seen both: call it.

TBH, I know it's not a thing, but I'd LOVE to see USA kicked out of NATO, because he IS going to dramatically leave, and this would steal his thunder.

It's VERY simplified due to the platform limitations. I just think the quoting of Napoleon the other day portended something even crappier than what's been going on, and there's a couple of actions he hasn't taken. The power appears to have been deceptively " separate but equal."

Nope, just had a family that lived through it in the Second World war, in Austria. Protesting led to Mauthausen Konzentrationzlager bc we were Social Dems. I'm a history teacher who's area is military history and the rise of authoritarianism. But hey 🤷♀️ check back with me in 2 yrs
