A normal Supreme Court would have already ruled that a President doesn't have this power to threaten or impose tariffs with every whim or change of medication dosage.

I just stumbled upon an upcoming anniversary for 'America' (the Allen Ginsberg poem, not the nation). Seventy years ago, Ginsberg wrote the first lines...

"America I've given you all and now I'm nothing. | America two dollars and twentyseven cents January 17, 1956."

It should be required reading.

How many costume changes is Secretary Puppykiller going to make today?

I'm glad I saved my two-sided poster from last April's Hands Off protest.

Has anyone in the U.S. media followed up on Director Tulsi's 2019 tweet?
January 3, 2026 at 9:22 PM
Why stop with his tens of thousands of appearances in the #TrumpEpsteinFiles?

Why not redact every appearance of his face and/or name in any media?

WARNING: Many televisions are currently emitting a #FineWhiteWhine from an historically unpopular resident of the White House!

The GOP isn't just the pro-pedophile party anymore; they're also the pro-warcrimes party...

There's been a lot of appreciation of 'Horses' lately because of its 50th anniversary, but I've been rediscovering and loving late 1990s Patti Smith over the last few days.

I seem to go back to 'Gone Again' more often than any of her other albums.

Is Google's AI search competing with Musk's AI search to see which can be more pro-MAGA? This is what it had to say when I asked about Pete Hegseth writing a book that defended war criminals...

...and, as predicted last night, here comes the inevitable high-pitched #FineWhiteWhine from the remains of the White House...

...time for the tired elderly narcissist in the [remains of the] White House to sue the NY Times for 15 billion dollars again...

I didn't realize bulk whistles were so cheap.

Kristi Puppykiller is going to have to get used to the sound.

How is it possible that trumprx.gov is "An official website of the United States government" when all it is is a non-functioning splash screen with you-know-who's face splashed across it?

I'm sure he's going to have to add more gold to those Oval Office walls before he adds functionality, though.

Elon Musk doesn't let many people see my tweets on his personalized version of Twitter, but 100% of the people who saw and responded to my poll over there favored Antifa over Fa.

I know that the fascist takeover of the USA should be our main focus on this #NoKings Day, but I ran across this photo again and I'm obsessed with the question of why people spend money, time, and pain to get a bizarre #MarALagoFace.

Is it to please the King?

In Thomas Pynchon's Vineland (1990), an extended family in Reagan's 1984 America argues about "...whether the United States still lingered in a prefascist twilight, or whether that darkness had fallen long stupefied years ago..." (p.371)

There's no longer a debate, is there?

It's a red letter day, but I promised myself I'd finish re-reading the last 30 pages of Vineland before I crack open Shadow Ticket, which arrived in your local bookstore today! #ThomasPynchon
