Sure, yeah he goes over that! By the end, the UI is multiple widgets spawned on a canvas and you can obviously interact with them. They are lengthy tutorials and the C++ is def not for everyone, but thought I'd share my resources just in case.

I don't know if you're doing C++ or blueprint but it shouldn't be too hard to translate over. I followed this guy's tutorial series for an interaction system and inventory and learned a ton about the inner working of unreals UI and systems! youtu.be/DJUZZGmDK7Y?...
UE C++ Tutorial Series: Items, Interaction, Inventory #9: User Interface Work Part 3
In this video, we finalize most of the main inventory UI components, including their C++ code. To wrap it up, once the basic visuals of the UI are working, w...

So are we ever going to show the government what the 2nd amendment was really for, or are there any people left like that in this country?

Duuude sweet! Never thought to save my start-up file and am always mad when blender updates and it all gets overridden

I actually really enjoyed it. It's a "war is bad" film for sure and the whole point of it I think is that the major conflict is irrelevant as both sides will ALWAYS comit atrocities to each other and those just caught in the crossfire.

I can't even see that post as I've apparently already blocked whomever that is! 😂

I unfortunately have to interact with people like this in person where I work and yes- they genuinely think helldivers is not political and just "a good fun game without wokeness". Morons.

Hey Thomas! I think I followed you on the other place. Love your kids' drawings, what a neat idea.

Bevel makes everything more stone-ish in my professional opinion. Also random chips and whatnot.

Close! Use Ctrl+b with edge select on the outside edges, then merge those verts in the little nooks to get it more triangular and less square.

Oh heck yeah! When I first saw this game I was shocked at how close it was to a design doc I made a year back. Will for sure have to pick it up!

Danggg 10 years? How do you keep the drive?

It's almost as if college is really just a status symbol that locks you out of these jobs if you don't attend 🤔

Been in one of those myself recently. We'll get through though it. :)

You can do a ReSharper free trial and then after that it's a paid thing but completely worth the money for how much simpler it makes development.
February 19, 2024 at 3:47 PM
Right on! Most people use blueprint, but I prefer to code my stuff, it feels like I have more control that way. Not many resources out there for it though, unfortunately... I highly recommend Jetbrains ReSharper also if you're using Visual Studio! It gives great autocomple and syntax highlighting

At the rate I'm going, it's happening in my 60s so you're doing much better in comparison 😊

Game rocks. Live service sucks. It's a real shame it's what gamers buy, and continue to throw money at these days. I will say playing with randos isn't all terrible, but getting bombed over and over by friendly eagles is a little tiresome.
