This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Having spent more than a decade working at the VA hospital and with catastrophically disabled veterans, this news actually brought me to tears. Getting programs like this and so many others goes to show where Trump’s priorities are not.

I'm sure that most decent people who are financially comfortable hear that Musk is going after SS think "oh no, that's terrible!" You can't imagine what it sounds like to someone who really needs that check and is too old and/or sick to go out and get a job. It's terrifying.
