I recently had to take a flight. My wife dropped me off at the airport, but I drove us there. As I was going through security I realized the car key was in my pocket. My wife was about 15 minutes away and had to come back. She would have been stranded if she'd stopped anywhere.

Until this year my family was getting an HCA subsidy. Without it, our premiums would have been about 20% of our household income.

It's misinformation to say this is about healthcare for undocumented immigrants. It's not. It's really about preventing sharp premium increases for hardworking Americans. I'd love to see a better plan for healthcare than Obamacare, but no one is offering one.

I get it. I can understand. But Rs can't put this all on Ds. Neither is budging, but only Rs could end this today without compromising.

I think they should compromise. Have you seen the projections for what the end of HCA subsidies will do to premiums for some folks?
