SOR #literacy for teens & adults wherever they are: secondary mainstream, MLD/SEMH/PRU etc, prisons, post-16 & community settings. Shame-free grown-up #phonics is powerful stuff. I'm a 🇨🇦 in 🇬🇧 who❤️s pro cycling, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 rugby, family history
So true. They are often the only people who really understand what's going on in your life and your head. Great advice.

As a Canadian child watching American tv, the School House Rock "Elbow Room" song about manifest destiny used to give me the chills. Nothing has changed, it seems.

If they're men who follow only women, I block. It might not be perfect but I'm never felt guilty for doing it.

'Hard fun' is a superb design mantra. ❤️
I had a similar comment before a training. A woman said her colleague warned her it wasn't one of those 'training days where you do nothing' - a great compliment but how sad that schools are paying for 'do-nothing' CPD. Staff and students deserve better.

That is completely possible! I'm now picturing Ted wandering around in Upper Canada (which hasn't existed since 1841).

This mnemonic has stuck in my head since a first aid course in the 70s. Sadly I have no idea what it's supposed to help me remember. Anyone?

I've been banging that drum for over 20 years now. Some are better than others but they all progress too slowly for vast majority of students doing That Reading Thing. Teens have so much latent knowledge that needs to be unlocked.
