fair, but folks in small Minnesota towns like the one I grew up in may start hating Trump admin for ICE Actions, but aren't able to see these comparisons easily. They see protesting "in a church", it will be the one thing that they can use to say "protesters bad too" instead of "ICE Bad"

The church one was a dumb tactic IMO. I can see a protest, but don't go into the church. Stand outside with signs about Jesus loving thy neighbor and welcoming strangers.
