I think relief of that discomfort provided by easy answers and heavily digested information--cheat sheets, talking points, 30 second videos that explain everything--has become a dependency leading many of us to avoid sitting with the reality that we really can't know everything

The information we're presented with almost constantly is both complex and overwhelming, and it doesn't make you stupid to be confused. But it is very uncomfortable. It is difficult to have a conversation that lingers on unanswered questions
