The initial Mr. St. Helen's eruption. This was about a month before the big May 18th event. I was in 4th grade and the school secretary wheeled in the t.v. because she thought our class might be interested in watching the first poof of ash come out the top of the mountain. It was a very small poof.

I’ve been a little free library steward for about ten years. I toss, so much stuff. No one wants to hear that their 30 year old paperback that’s falling apart and smells needs to be thrown out.
