The crazy thing, if Trump could actually be convinced it’s a way to end Obamacare (ACA) he’d probably go for it and the cult of maga and gop would follow along.

1. He needs $5 trillion to do it
2.That’s $15k/person
3. You can’t write a check for that amt per person & have it work bc some will need a lot more & some a lot less
4. So he’d need to reimburse directly for each health expense
5. Sounds a lot like single payer universal insurance!
Let’s roll!

Ya, he thinks a check for a couple thousand $ will cover people’s healthcare costs. He has no idea that paying avg costs will leave some extraordinarily short & others ahead. The first group will be bankrupt in a yr. The 2nd prob spend a good chunk in yr 1 and have little left for when it’s needed.

But in the game, you can’t buy these cards from the boss like you can in Trump world. Show enough (one sided) loyalty, kiss enough ass, or offer a big enough donation and you can have one too.

Yep.
When you’re the underdog you need to fight long enough and strong enough for the favorite to begin to doubt themselves and their strategy.
After Tuesday’s elections and the ACA premium notices going out, the GOP was doubting.
Then 8 democratic senators gave up.
