It's like he has to try to convince us that he's an expert in every subject.

I've met his type at parties, no matter what topic people may be discussing, someone will act like they're an expert. Even as the topics shift, they monopolize the conversation. It reeks of intellectual insecurity. 😬

The keywords are "politely explored". Speaking for myself, I'm willing to engage in polite discussion regarding policy differences.

BUT if the person I'm engaging doesn't believe in my human rights or my right to exist; politeness is not a prerequisite.

It's called HYPOCRISY; a lack of moral consistency evidenced by behavior that is contrary to previously stated positions, sometimes blatantly so.

Example:

I live in California, the fifth largest economy in the world. We'll be just fine, thanks.
We could secede AND WE'D STILL BE A LEADING WORLD ECONOMY BY OURSELVES.

To think that what happened to Peanut has anything to do with the Democrats demonstrates political ignorance.

I don't condone killing animals but health and safety laws are in place for a reason. But to blame an entire political party for the actions of a local agency is a bad faith argument.
