They're definitely great for runs! You can also add some over the ear earbuds that will stay on while running without your glasses making them fit weird.

You won't want to wear them every day (days off, etc), but even if you decide later that they're too much of an inconvenience for most day wear, they're really handy to have as an option. There are times when having contacts are easier: going swimming, seeing a 3D movie, or being active.

Stardew Valley is great for that. It's a very chill game. Just get an idea from them how they want you to help and coordinate your activities so you can work towards the same goals.

Me: "What do you *mean* angry? I haven't even said anything yet!"

Them: "You didn't tell me good morning! You walked right by me!"

Me: "......."

1. It depends
2. People who have motor control issues or cannot easily type, but don't have as many issues speaking.

I used to work with a guy that had MS, was in a wheelchair, and had little ability to type. Voice was a lot easier for him, especially if someone helped him dial the number.

If you want something with a bit more rules, tips and tricks, and logic behind why you would want to do it this way, check out this link. You absolutely don't need to use all of the scrum rules, but this helps describe the pointing system specifically.

Practical Fibonacci: A Beginner's Guide to Relative Sizing
The more ambiguous the requirement, the more difficult it is to calculate how long something will take. But teams still need to estimate their work to forecast releases. Relative sizing provides a rea...

Over time, you find out how many points you can accomplish (on average) for a given time period and that helps make planning decisions.

Would something similar help you in determining time for tasks?
December 19, 2024 at 1:26 PM
As a developer, time for tasks is super tricky. Instead, we assign complexity points to tasks. (is it easier than x task? less difficult but more tedious?) The points only loosely translate to time due to meetings, etc. It's a lot easier than trying to assign how much time something takes.

It isn't a real manual until it has a decision tree flow chart and additional notes in the margins.

You may want to add a link to the video in question instead of just the title image. The video was five links deep, and not obvious, which is a barrier to finding it for most users.

You're good! I didn't take offense. :)

Subtext and tone being misinterpreted, on the internet, and in this community? That isn't a thing that could happen, right? /s

That's absolutely fair and correct, and it's a privileged position to even assume that someone that's disabled is capable of fighting even if they're discriminated against.

I simply was trying to give one example of why you'd need a dx beyond the supports of available techniques and community.
November 22, 2024 at 1:45 PM
I asked that question myself, and the answer was: because you need the support that you wouldn't otherwise get.

Autism is considered a disability under the ADA and can qualify for SSDI. Per the ADA, HR has legal requirements they must meet.

Those types of support require a formal diagnosis.
