Misunderstanding my audience's proficiency level is a huge problem for me when writing technical documentation as well. I'm a huge fan of just doing the best you can on the first pass, then letting people who have questions rewrite it in a way that makes sense to them after I explain it more.

Kinda feeling this way about Dems if I'm being honest. They seem incapable of mounting any kind of a defense against all this bullshit.
