I realize it took so many steps to get where I am. I’m not just humbly grateful, but I’m realizing the gift I had of seasons—wishing I knew how to give people recently disoriented by xn nationalism or authoritarianism the time to integrate the grief and move into change without retraumatization.

Integrating the subsequent faith deconstruction, and learning from the experiences beyond my bubble moved me through cynicism to curiosity to compassion— and yet clarity about nonviolently resisting the abuse of power. @jon how are you coming to think about TIME when it comes to being radicalized?

It’s wild to think of the radicalizing events that set the rest of our lives in play. I had a similar situation in 1992 participating in a Right to Life rally in front of the SCOTUS steps. Seeing people use religious righteousness to want blood and vengeance set me on a path
