Did these paddlers know what they were getting into? Did anyone tell them, or did someone just take their money for a canoe/kayak rental or a launch fee? My condolences to the family. 5/5

that paddlers aren't cautioned that it's alligator mating season, when they are more aggressive. As a Florida kayaker and paddleboarder who has had gators bump my craft and swim next to me at times, it's concerning. 4/5

Things I wouldn't be surprised to find out: That the attacks were by the same gator; that the gator had been fed (against Florida law); that paddlers in the area weren't told of the previous attacks; 3/5
