I posted this cross stitchwhen it was literally half done - it's now all done.

Ok, technically I forgot to top stitch the whiskers, but I'm not sure I'm going to - I kind of like it this way.

Latest cross stitch piece finished. I didn't realize this pattern had as much confetti as it does (that's completely on me), so while I like how it turned out, I really was more in the mood for something more straightforward. 1/2

I made a cross stitch pattern from this artist's work (with the artist's express permission). I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, especially since this was my very first time creating a pattern from scratch! #crossstitch

This cross stitch is roughly 3" x 4" on 16 count. I'm planning to finish it as a badge. There are some things I'd like to tweak further, but on the whole I'm satisfied with how it came out!

Second: I started a new small project because I got a wild hair and I have no idea how it's going to turn out because it's from a pattern I devised (someone else's artwork which I got permission to use). I've never made a full pattern before and of course I'm doing this against a deadline 😁.
A small crossstitch that is currently color blobs of red, very pale yellow, and some dark blue. It doesn't look like anything yet because it isn't.

I haven't really used the wrong fabric because I am, at heart, a boring stitcher 😁. I like how most designs look on plain old white aida, so that's mostly what I use 😄.

It's keeping me sane while neing surrounded by boxes that all need unpacking but there is nothing to unpack them into because while the house is plenty big enough, its configuration is very different from the old house.

Things you see for the local baseball team in Phoenix that you would not see for the local baseball team in Denver:
A random Longhorn Steakhouse in Phoenix, AZ with two Arizona Diamondbacks banners on either side of the longhorn steer head hanging over the bar. On the outsides of the banners are two TVs, both of which are showing the Diamondbacks game. AFAIK, this kind of support is not shown for the Colorado Rockies in Denver. Given the Rockies' current season, I am not suggesting it should be.

Some months ago, I posted the first picture in my reply to one of these show and tell threads with the text "This is what hope looks like". The second picture is "hope fulfilled".
Calibrachoa and tomato seedlings from late spring waiting to be planted in their summer homes. Some (only some!) of the tomatoes produced bt the seedlings in the previous picture.

An almost completed stitchalong featuring an aviary with lots of extraordinary birds. Unlike most progress updates, this is off the hoop because I need to move the hoop again. Also unlike many other updates there is no cat shown because I managed to take the picture roughly 10 seconds before he saw I had it stretched out and came over to sit on it. There is already more than enough cat hair stitched into the work.

Feat 12 of #ExtraordinaryBirdsSAL by @lolacrow.bsky.social . I think this is my favorite Feat so far! Before the backstitching, the black xs of the hanging parrots' eyes made them look like Monty Python's ex-parrots 😄.
