If you cannot find a subject in your picture, bring your own 🤩 To get to this spot to take pictures of the sunset, you have two options; to take a hike around the lake or to use a boat to take the direct route. Since I do own a boat, I took the shortest way and brought my own subject to the sunset.

One spot - same picture at different times a day. At our cabin in Åstjønna in Færbøgda(Forradal) we can enjoy a scenic view of the Åstjønna. A beautiful period with really hot weather is going to an end, some thunderstorms passing by today, made the temperature drop some. The good thing with some rain and a sunset afterwards, is all the beautifull colors. I brought my Canon R6 with a 70-200mm and a 16-35mm lens and a sturdy tripod, below you can see some of the results, I hope you like them 🤩

Damstuggu is a fantastic place with an open cabin for everyone to use, remember to leave it as you would have liked to find it 😉 I have been at Damstuggu several times, and also several times with some photogear, but this time I thought I should take an another trail to reach Damstuggu. Normally you go from Raudåvollen to Damstuggu (a wonderful hike, you oughta try it), but this time I would like to walk from Raudåtjønnin to Damstuggu, crossing over the Hammervoll.

Our capitol Oslo was bathing in nice sunshine during a visit I had to Oslo in May, the week before our national day, 17 May. Played around with long exposure on some of the pictures. The pictures also shows the importance of the natural light during golden hour. These shots has been a lot more boring, if they were shot during the normal daylight.

Just by considence, I discovered that the moon was almost full and the color of the moon was fantastic. So I took the camera out and played around for a bit. My go to lens for the evening was a Tamron 150-600mm telefocus lens. I wanted to capture details of the moon. During the shooting, I saw a wonderful reflection in the lake, so I tried to capture this as good as I could

Hansbakkfjæra, located on the coast of Ranheim just outside Trondheim, is today a serene spot for walking, swimming, and taking in the coastal light. But not long ago, this was a place of industry — home to the Ranheim paper mill, where timber arrived by sea and was transformed into paper that fueled a growing nation. The echoes of that era still linger in the landscape, blending with the salty air and shifting tides.

After the rain, the sunset are often very beautiful, this happen the late evening of 3 July 2025. I took a trip to one of my favourite photolocations (nearby my home). I have watched a series of youtube videos on the topic of long exposure during the last weeks, and especially with the BULB mode. I found it so interesting that I thought I had to try.
