Every so often, I practice through big chunks of the Arban Grand Method for Cornet and Trumpet, using Eric Bolvin’s lesson plans. Tonight I started a new cycle. It’ll take me a few months, but I always find new things to work on, even in the most elementary exercises. #trumpetgeekdom

This morning as I drove down the Henry Hudson Parkway, looking at the windswept autumn leaves and the beautiful gray skies with the light rain just made me miss the old WNEW-AM 1130.

My only serious 9/11 comment is that if we were going to have a never forget, maybe it should have been the OKC bombing, since internal right wing violence is so much more a threat to people in this country than foreign terror attacks. We wasted decades profiling the wrong fucking people.
