Had a blast with today's D&D session in the Goblin city of Pilzstadt. Players were able cause enough chaos to rescue their companion from the Ascension ritual and escape into the tunnels.

Paper minis from @trashmobminis.bsky.social were excellent for all the various goblinoid clans present.

Ran the latest adventure with the family as we make our way through a Phandelver/Icespire Peak mashup campaign.

Tonight's session was Umbrage Hill with a homemade papercraft windmill be me and manticore mini from @trashmobminis.bsky.social.

Cooler heads prevailed and combat turned to parlay.

DM Tip:
Doing fun NPC voices inspired by existing media is a great way to make RP memorable...

However, it can also lead to having to do voices of Roseanne Roseanna Danna, Ted 'Theodore' Logan, and Creepy Dave the vulture all in a single scene.

Just ran a session zero for the boys and it went really well. We're playing a combo of the classic 5e starter sets and using the advice of The GM's Handbook of Proactive Roleplaying with the 2024 ruleset.

Been super busy with the day job, so haven't put much art together recently, but was able to finish this bit for a larger design for a Yule Tiki Witch project. #hexentiki

Finally got the Halloween decorations up. It was looking pretty grim there for a bit, but got the big guy assembled and lit only halfway into the season.

Once again, confirming the best spot to get stuck on a ride in Disneyland is smack dab in front of Jack and Zero in the Haunted Mansion.

I created a new gamification of the kids' soccer training sessions to earn skill points on six different paths. I created icons for each:

Lightning: Paragon of speed and evasion

Magma: Paragon of strength and endurance

Mountain: Paragon of defense

Finally found the right level of abstraction for my tiki drink menu illustrations. The first rounds were okay, but felt a little flat. Second simplified image is a bit more dynamic.

Today we said goodbye to our precious little girls, Kona and Miso. They were the best companions and big sisters we could ever hope for. We love you so much.
