The people doing the arresting are modern day blackshirts. It's not overstatement to say the Trump administration is full of fascists, and anybody who is an enabler of that fascism should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm with you on all counts. The game has a lot of depth and would be fun to play around with builds if I weren't already super busy. Guides to the rescue! A lack of minimap is also annoying, but not a deal breaker for me. Definitely would've been nice. Still, I'm in act 3 and in love with the game.

As much as our gaming tastes seem to align, I gotta disagree with you on Clair Obscur. I haven't been into a JRPG style game in forever but man, this game has grabbed me. The story is so interesting (how far in have you gotten?) and the game is dripping with creativity. Music, level design, etc.

In the middle of Clair Obscur, then probably the new Doom, then maybe South of Midnight? This game falls into the same category of Hellblade 2: want to play, hopefully will get to it. Also, was getting out my Ryobi mower when you started talking about it. I'm definitely your target audience.

Oh I gotta add that I'm a HUGE Mass Effect fan so as soon as Kai spoke in Avowed I thought "That's Garrus!" (turns out it IS the same voice actor). The dialog and way you interact with your team, flesh out their stories, etc reminded me a lot of ME.

Was searching for podcasts about Avowed and found your episode about it (which I agree with 100%...loving that game as a mid 40s dad with limited time). Listened to this episode after and enjoyed your take. Keep up the good work!

Tried BP after your TC episode a week or two ago (thanks, Game Pass!) and really had a hard time getting into it. A year or two ago a buddy of mine kept insisting I try Hades despite not liking Rogue-lites and I ended up loving Hades. So far, BP hasn't grabbed me whatsoever. Maybe that'll change...

I'm relieved that he's alive. Was really suspecting they weren't releasing him or even allowing people to talk to him because he'd been killed there. This whole thing is such an abuse of power and so morally bankrupt. Can't believe America has come to this point.
