It’s not my intent to do so. I’m intending to explain facts to best of my ability so that the passion can be better focused in other areas.
Someone can sue. This can go through the courts up to the Supreme Court where my pessimism says it’ll lose. You don’t win every battle in a war.

I don’t disagree that it is a ridiculous hill to die on from an employer perspective but this administrations best day would make ridiculous look good. Unfortunately as ridiculous as it is, “insubordination” is a fireable offense.

They can establish email signature guidelines and enforce that. Any employer can.

That’s unfortunately not how it works. The govt can’t suppress you as a citizen from free speech but it can set employee guidelines to enforce. After all, you don’t “have” to work for the govt.
I don’t agree with it morally but just wanted to point that out.
