He’s not the bad guy that everyone wants him to be, but listening to them can distort everything and convince me that he is. Can make me doubt his feelings, make his doubt his word, make me doubt his actions. Can make me defensive when he makes me soft. How can something so good be so bad?

Everyone is telling me choose what’s best for me, but if I choose him I’m wrong because they know what’s best for me and it’s not him. It only pulls me closer because while they’re filling me with doubt, he is addressing every single one with assurance and patience.

I’ve recently learned first hand that listening to others opinions can definitely cast doubt on your relationship. Being told by others what you deserve, what’s they think is best for you, what you should choose, and what you don’t want to do can make you question if you’re loving the right one.

'Meet the Grahams' had disturbed something in my spirit when I first heard it. I have never felt my anxiety spike listening to a song before listening to that. I remember looking at the wall for fifteen minutes and then taking a shower after it was over.

I don’t really listen to political podcasts, but the way this administration is blatantly turning us into an authoritarian state with no pushback from Congress is alarming, upsetting, and scary for everyone. Our economy and our constitutional laws are doomed at this rate. Everyone is terrified.

I listen to the Marketplace podcast almost every morning on my way to work and they have absolutely no hope for the economy under the current administration. They try to end the podcast on a positive note but there is no hope in our government to stop this nonsense. A recession seems imminent.

Showing emotions at work can come off to leadership as not being adaptable to change or receptive to criticism. This goes for men and women. I know several people who’ve been fired from jobs due to emotional outbursts. There are processes and procedures in place so emotions can’t be used against you
