I clean up, sealed the phone and guess what? It doesn’t power on. I take it apart again - this time without any way to reseal it 🤦🏾♂️ and nothing seems out of the ordinary. The following morning I find this video youtu.be/qO7rI21qiDE?... and learn about the black screen of death

Took me longer than it should have to figure out how to place it in correctly, but we got it to work and that’s the goal.

I was expecting a few screws but surprisingly there was only one. The only thing that caught me off guard was the adhesive

Technician error. Push the battery connector allll the way in. Time to zip it up and zip it out

….but it still doesn’t work. However… I did take this shot before I closed it up because it was so stubborn to put back in.

New project to fix an issue with the Air cutting off when unplugged from power. I had a similar issue on an old MacBook Pro, but I can’t remember if I fixed it 👀

Still dusty. I’ve been debating on taking it outside to blow the dust away but it’s 20 degrees outside 🥶 Also, looking at how the power supply is corded in this thing, I’ll keep it in the case to avoid breaking something fitting it back in
