I’m literally just autistic dude. I don’t understand the unwritten social construct you spoke of before. That’s not something I have ever heard of before. I don’t take social cues well in general. I am trying to understand if my past behaviour is wrong so I can change for the future.

This thread isn’t about subways, it’s about public places as a whole. Subways are not the only form of public place. I don’t use subways because my city doesn’t have a rail transit system to begin with. We have busses.

Is it antisocial for a father to put on a video for his children while they eat in the mall food court? Is it antisocial for someone with limited mobility to put their phone on speaker on the subway because they can’t physically hold it up to their ear?

I mean most public places don’t really have an expectation of silence. A movie theatre, or a library, yeah, sure, i’m with you, but if there’s a guy at the mall food court playing cocomelon for his kids over 30 other people talking while they eat I’m not gonna have a fit. It’s not black and white
