I really paid attention in civics and government in school. That and history were my two favorite subjects outside of art and music. The last 60 days has been an exercise in my utility to not repeat this phrase 20+ times a day. How did we get here collectively?

Pretty wild that the Genny river went from slightly frozen to running wild with the late Dec heat and snow melt to completely frozen in a matter of days. Running water is freezing and I'm just supposed to brave the elements to go to the gym? Hard pass. Time to bury my head in a book.

I don’t tout my green thumb when it comes to indoor plants often but my Tree Aeonium is blooming for the first time in a while. Kind of a pain of a plant but such a cool one to have around and simple to propagate.

When I helped clean out my grandmother’s house after she passed I found my grandfathers vintage blue ceramic mug. Big, sturdy, and timeless. Does the job perfectly.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and now that the rush of hosting 12 people for several days is over, I can finally take a few deep breaths and sit in the gratitude of having that many wonderful family members and zero drama the whole holiday. 😀🙏 (plus this bomb ass charcutes platter I made)

Started playing drums when I was 12. I've been in countless bands and filled in with even more. I've been kicked out, had things dissolve, had projects stall but for the first time in 28 years I actually quit a band. Can't help but feeling a little bit melancholy. It was the right call though.
