God, what a stark chart from NYT.
Chart from the New York Times titled “The More You Make The More You Benefit” and subtitled “The bills impact on household finances, by income quintile.” The chart shows the bottom 20% of incomes decreasing sharply, while the top 20% of incomes increase sharply by about the same amount. The middle three quintiles increase in benefits as they go up the income scale.
