As was obvious af to me a few years ago when the bathroom nonsense started: we need legislation that makes it a sex offense to fk with people in bathrooms, regardless of the reason. Bathrooms are inherently a place of vulnerability that calls for the protection of privacy. It’s that simple.

The legacy of the US could end up being most notable for running away from a monarchy in Europe to steal land from the First Nations and people from Africa to work it, then unaliving itself by knowing better in the face of the inconvenience of resisting the lure of tyranny. Pitiful.

Why is the bar so low for legislative rationale? There’s no justification for subordinating women's bodily autonomy/sovereignty to others’ beliefs.
There’s not even evidence of women abusing or weaponizing rights of bodily autonomy via careless late-term, recreational, or casual abortions. None.

Nancy Mace thinking that she’s defending women & girls rides on paternalistic, internalized misogyny, not only presuming to know what is best for them/us, but assuming the audacity to inspect and define them/us.

Rep lawmakers are the only people women have to worry about sharing bathrooms with.
