This is the first Magic card I ever saw. It was the German version though. Someone in elementary school had cards and didn't need that one, so he gifted it to me. I had no idea what the symbols meant and what a "Versorgungssegment" was (German for "upkeep")

HL2 works perfectly fine without playing the first one. I'd say HL1 is still playable, Black Mesa is great remake though.

In the 2nd part of Rise of the Runelords my players immediately found the secret entrance in the well outside Foxglove Manor and entered the building through there. So they surprised the big bad in his secret room in the basement and then went up through the house and left through the front door.
