Good morning Miss Linda! Happy Friday! It’s a gorgeous day here too. Low 70s sunny w/a breeze. I don’t have any orchid buds but I do have quite a bit of new growth on all of them. Maybe next season. No real cold front for us. Supposed to be 75ish on Christmas Day. Not a good fit for the menu 😏

Good morning Miss Linda! Happy Tuesday! Much warmer today. Still chilly but already 56. We don’t make it out of the 40s yesterday. Really windy and cloudy. Miserable day. Suns out today tho and that makes all the difference. No hawk today thank goodness. The squirrels were back out & demanding nuts

I don’t. But social media is pretty sure it’s a red-shouldered hawk. With a close second being a Cooper’s hawk. And a juvenile. All I know is he was hanging out at the squirrels buffet and he was about two squirrels tall.

Well, it’s absolutely amazing and I’m so so glad it went to a good home.
Glad we’re getting a bit of a warm up before the next wave of cold. It’s finally gotten to that cold inside stage. It was 62 inside this morning, which explains why I hit snooze cuz I was cozy not hot.

Yup 🤣 the fan in the bedroom only gets turned off if it’s literally below freezing outside and below 60 inside. So not very often 🤣 problem for me is I can’t stand too much wind so the fan stays on low. Hurricane speed drives me insane.

🤣🤣🤣 yeah, I get that. Rick tends to not do that because then he gets too hot. 🤣 If it’s really cold though, he will try to steal my warm. We’ve had the discussion that if he’s too cold he can wear more clothes to sleep in.

😂😂😂 actually, a big part of the problem is the comforter. A new one (lightweight wool filled) is top of my wish list. Next on the wish list is replacing the all latex mattress with springs again for airflow. Latex is way more breathable than memory foam but still not as breathable as springs.

Less wind makes all the difference. Warmer here this weekend too but then super cold again. Not complaining. Still too hot to sleep under the covers. I’ve figured out I need the bedroom to be like 60 to be cozy. Sigh.

Yup. Once the cold seeps into a concrete home it takes a long time to warm up. I still find myself surprised that it’s not just as cold inside the house now.

Next week maybe. Looking like it might be quite chilly next week. It’s been short bursts of cold so far. Day or three tops. Longer than that and it starts to get colder inside the house. Not like that concrete bunker we used to live in that held the cold. I only just tucked my feet in last night.

It’s not as cold here today. Sun is out and wind has calmed. Yesterday was quite wintery though. No doggie sweaters have been broken out yet. Socrates absolutely loves this weather and it hasn’t been cold enough long enough for Ziggy to need his hoodie yet.
