It sucks watching all the people who voted for the current president and Congress (or didn't vote at all) begin to realize what we screamed would happen if he got back in office. Guard rails are off, and we said he would do this. I told you so isn't enough when I'm suffering from their actions, too.

And while I'm at it, it's great that Hollywood has caught up to the plight of the sickle cell warrior. The system treats us the worst of all other patients because of the stigma with the meds we need and... do I need to say the other reason... Healthcare is catching up, but not fast enough.

I understand and believe legislation is needed to fix these big issues, but let's think outside the box. For the opioid epidemic, create a nationwide system in which legit patients don't have to jump through hoops that carry a stigma. Med MJ makes you carry a card, so give me a card. Do more for us.

It's like the gun control argument. If you remove guns, in theory, it lowers the amount of potential casualties. However, law-abiding citizens would follow the rules while criminals would would continue to carry. So if abusers are going to abuse, reducing supply only hurts the real patients....

So I'm currently in the hospital. The opioid epidemic caused an overreaction on behalf of the drug companies and government to decrease the supply of legal medications that legitimate patients need. So now there is a backorder, and I couldn't fill my legal prescription in time......

Telling people that all these dead centenarians are getting social security with no proof is bananas. They don't even know how the system works, let alone how many people over age 100 who are getting social security are alive and well. If you have lived this long, you deserve your money.
