No problem. As for your question about tips, focus on the MSQ (main story quest) and blue quests that unlock stuff. Side quests are good for leveling other classes and getting extra lore about the world but aren't really required. Good luck with your new adventure!

I recommend seraph on the dynamis data center. It's the most populated out of the dynamis servers and is preferred+ so you get an xp bonus on any characters.
