So very close to getting the LDMX software ready. A lighting desk for synth geeks. if you hate disco lights on auto but don't want to run a lighting desk all night this may be for you #cosmicsystems

I'm a huge fan (/s) of the fact Unity's Unity->Settings menu item opens the Preferences screen. (on a Mac at least)

Genuinely nice to type on. Not too clacky but def not one for the open plan dwellers! I also got the numerical keypad that doubles as an old school calculator!

Turns out that getting into TDD for my resurrected side project is not doing my sleeping any favours as my ADHD desires mean I can't go to bed with failing tests.

Because I’m almost always under NDA I can only post work from a while back so here’s some frames from the 8-bit spritesheet I made for LCD Soundsystem when I worked on visuals for their “comeback” Coachella gig back in 2016.

Saturday nights are a little different these days... Nearing the end of the second Cosmic Systems PCB design. This is a pretty small, general purpose ESP32-S3 board with all the available GPIOs on FFC ribbon headers. IP68 USB-C and a side mounted RGB Neopixel LED. #esp32 #electronics

Soundsystem control protocol for #cosmicsystems is in full swing and part of it is I'm forcing myself to be more #TDD. Probably just as it goes out of fashion! I don't think it's a hugely popular thing in game dev, particularly #Unity3D, but it really should be.

Last weekend was just incredible. I was organising the wonderful visuals crew on the live stage at Machina Bristronica here in Bristol and I got perform live with my analog modular video rig for the amazing Anthony Rother. Here’s a short section of that show. (LED poles by Simon Langley)

Another option might be something like REW, the audio analysis software. Not sure if they record for as long as 60 mins but they def have all these kind of graphs.

The *actual* weekend project is a custom remote UI for the #esp32 based DMX / Artnet lighting desk I’m working on. Fully multitouch, uses OSC to control the lighting desk node but also to receive all the fixture information so the ui is created automatically depending on the setup of the desk.

Back in the Cosmic Systems workshop prepping the HXTC1’s for our little micro-fest we call Rituals. Upgrading the cheap led controllers with our custom LDMX1 DMX controlled LED drivers. Hope they work!
