Unfortunately there’s a lot of residual bias in the tattoo industry in particular because closed apprenticeships often lead to personal opinions being passed down as if they’re truths…

The contrast between inked and un-inked skin will vary of course, but logistically there is no difference (apart from, for example, extra caution if a given client is prone to keloid scarring)

I’m so sorry you’ve been turned down! Upsetting and illogical. Skin color does not affect the tattooing process much at all.
