The world is bleak. Find your joy where you can, doing good on small levels is fine to start. Today, my mom spotted a tortoise in our backyard and tortoises are NOT native to our area. Thanks to her taking in this little girl, I was able to have her safe while I looked for her home. AND I FOUND IT.

Dracula has been a severe presence; even when Lugosi and Lee were charming or handsome, they were framed to make it clear they were still monsters. Baron Meinster looks more like the male lead than the villian. In another movie, David Peel, the actor portraying him, might have been Jonathan Harker.

I did find out while reading the IMDB notes about Son of Dracula that the supposed first appearance of a Dracula with fangs (Nosferatu doesn't count) is a Turkish movie that has this guy as Dracula. I am going to have to save Christopher Lee Dracula for a little longer while I watch this gem.

This was also toxic, back in its day, to be clear. Everyone knew it was steroids. Even Mr. Universe doesn't look like the cut dudes on film these days. And he was (more or less) honest about the prep he did to look cut for his competitions. It was, rightly I think, viewed as freakish.

This is doing rounds on Reddit. Leopards, faces, etc. I wish I could talk to this person and find out which of two very different people they are presenting in this tweet that they want to be. If they're committed to being "fuck you" first sorts, then we don't care about the sob story.
