There was a whole deal last year (iirc) where a volunteer got told they needed to take "from the river to the sea" out of their slack status because it was considered harassment of other volunteers. They also think that it's racist and antisemitic to call Israel a settler state.

that message was inspired by these posts on the maanalelie tumblr, where there were multiple claims that they did not plagiarize melo's rules documents or copy anything. there were later claims that melo had merely been used as a reference.
