I mean she was a pirate/adventurer herself so it makes sense she isn't too stressed about her son doing the same thing she was probably doing in his age

Rescinding financial support to israel and heavy sanctions is probably the only thing that can stop this unfortunately. Israel is already burning itself up so it's best if it runs out of gas sooner than later, not just for gazans but for it's own good. So keep doing activism abroad, it's meaningful!

Oh also: that same media that labels "the left abroad" as antisemitic ironically is very leniently if at all reporting on antisem right wing extremists abroad, and even tries to warm us up to oppressive countries with unashamed antisemitic leaders (like victor urban and more). It's 100% intentional

Yup, these people are fed 24/7 by every local news outlet that pro-palestine protesters/leftists/students/queer people are just anti-semitic. People here've just REFUSED to believe the numbers I showed them of jews abroad and their support of the gaza protests.

Some more notes: most people in israel consume international media ONLY through the lens of local-media. Even when confronted on the issue by internationals Israelis are socially trained (literally, not only by media but even by grade-school) to recite state-ideology and disbelieve everything said

This is not to say the Israeli populace is blameless, they are to significant degree, but you have to acknowledge that the concerted state-effort to suppress and censor what the public sees has a huge part in the extreme disregard for the palestinians in mainstream politics. That includes online btw
August 17, 2025 at 7:45 PM
There's also immense social pressure against supporting these orgs, as the accepted social norm in israeli society today is to vitriolicly rage against any criticism of the state/military or empathy for palestinians, so much that violence against you will be tollerated by most people, advocated even

Yes these are great resources, also "the seventh eye" and some opinion journals like "politically-corret" and "hottest place in hell". Tho theyre either too small or are not accessible to most people here. Personally I would still be informed without them, just by being very online in western spaces
August 17, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Ofc there are some small, honest leftist orgs that protest against the genocide and try to help gazans as much as they can, but these more general, "anti-war/pro-hostages" protests are still crucial in putting real pressure on the state apparatus. It's not the most effective, ik, but still important

I'm an anti-zionist still living there and this is 100% true. Israel is the most successful example of a propagandized nation. opinions that only 15 years ago were legitimate, even moderate, are now taboo and even lead to arrests, and 99% of the media preserves this through a "manufactured reality"

Yeah, that was the one mission I could never do as a kid, I did 100% DX a couple of months back for the first time, you gotta make sure to press forward while you jump from the tip of all 3 ramps, good luck!
February 14, 2025 at 2:01 AM
Is it the snowboard jumping perfectly on ramp one or the snowboard getting all the flags one?

As a music composer I honestly hate the process of writing a lot of the time, but when I look back at the things I created and I think to myself "fuck, *I* did this! And its really cool/beautiful!" It retroactively makes all the suffering and self doubting worth it. At least thats my experience
