I did not know this and always felt it would be futile to call or write, because I felt they have decided what they're going to do and my voice doesn't matter. No amount of calling my local MAGA yokel representative is going to make him vote for abortion rights etc.

I wouldn't send my kid. There are countless experiences where teacher insight to him and family-teacher cooperative brainstorming have been integral to his overcoming challenges. We need humanity in teaching.
