Like everything else, I made this bio all about me.

Giovanni Bononcini - La Nemica d'Amore fatta Amante
(Ensemble 415, Chiara Banchini)
Though the work itself is far from a masterpiece, kind of a crossover between Corelli & Scarlatti but slightly less inventive, the performances are absolutely top notch & just plain gorgeous. Lovely!

Haydn/Berio - String Quartets
(Alban Berg Quartet)
Impeccable as always though a little too cautious&refrained performances of Haydn's two quartets by the legendary Austrian group. Funnily enough, sandwiched in between them Berio's Notturno is arguably the main attraction on the disc

Antonio Rosetti - Three Violin Concertos
(Lena Neudauer, Sudwestdeutsches Kammerorchester, Johannes Moesus)
Charming violin concertos played with lots of warmth & joyfulness. Some of the movements written by this today forgotten Bohemian composer could easily pass as Mozart's works.

Orlando - A Melancholic Portrait
(Simon-Pierre Bestion & La Tempête, 2024)
Okay, so I definitely didn't expect *that* and I'm feeling slightly conflicted ;) Anyone else has any thoughts on this album?

Johannes Brahms - String Quartets and Piano Quintet
(Belcea Quartet, Till Fellner)
After almost 10 years since their release, I still think these might be the finest, most passionate and stunningly gorgeous interpretations of Brahms's Quartets that I've heard.

As for the "fabulous" dresses of hers, it's obviously a matter of taste, but I find a lot of them cheap, bordering on vulgar (⬇️).
