I've come to believe that any serious conversation on occultism and esoterica requires us to first align on a foundational set of concepts. Without that shared understanding, it's less of a discussion and more of everyone talking in their own separate universes.

Lately, my energy levels have been totally all over the map. One minute I'm buzzing with a ton of energy, and the next I'm completely wiped out. It's way more up and down than usual.

It's a weird thing, but when energy returns after a long absence, you can feel both invigorated and oddly exhausted. That newfound energy often shines a light on all the accumulated hurts and issues you previously just didn't have the capacity for.

Magic should never be an escape from responsibility or an excuse for laziness. While, sure, it can definitely make life a little easier, boiling everything down to just that seems... well, a bit weird, right? It's like people want a magical shortcut around doing the actual work.

Another thing that really works for me is Tarot. I've found it gives me incredibly accurate insights into my psychological state and subconscious, often even more precise than what I get from a therapist.

When it comes to magic that actually "works" for me, I'd definitely point to intuition. It's kicked in for me often, and on all sorts of things.

I've often been told my interest in magic stems from a fear of death and a desire to believe in an afterlife. But honestly, I think assuming someone's worldview is driven by fear, rather than a love for life and the world, says more about the person making the assumption than it does about me.

As I've been studying #magic and #esotericism, I've run into two common arguments people use to tell me why I'm wrong. The first one is: if you avoid talking about proof, it means you don't have any, and deep down, you know it's all just fantasy.

To me, the elements are magic. When I hear someone say it's "just physics," I don't really understand why one has to cancel out the other. A human is a collection of cells with specific chemical processes, but you'd hardly say that about each of us individually, right?

Basically, I’ve just been thinking about how the constant ridicule and dismissal of a person’s spiritual or occult beliefs—especially when they don’t align with the official ideology of society or the state—is a form of attack.

I’m now thinking about how much I fit into the framework of modern #occultism. I don't have a crystal ball, an altar, or an evil-looking room with a bunch of witchy stuff. I have never bought candles painted black. About half of this would seem pretentious to me.
