There is such a thing as severe autism that requires substantial support. That is my child, she will probably never have a job or drive a car. I'm getting kind of upset at all these posts acting like autism is just quirkiness...

Wanting to keep the OG cast and at the same time trying to break from the Skywalker story line in the same trilogy is the issue for me. Trying to have it both ways and in the end didn't have a cohesive story.

I agree, TFA being a remake of the original poisoned the whole sequel trilogy. I would have loved to see 100 years in the future, with the republic having to deal with a neo-empire fascist movement. The republic split into 2 parties, Star Wars was at it's best as a reflection of modern politics.

Which is the direction star wars needs to go, I agree. But that needs to be the theme and set up from the beginning of the trilogy, not the end of the second movie. The lack of a structured narrative across the sequels is what makes all 3 unwatchable imo

This is the problem though. Throw away the Skywalker story in the next trilogy, not in the 2nd movie of a trilogy that was set up to wrap up the Skywalker story. I think this trilogy should have gone that way from the first movie, but you can't make that move in the middle of the new trilogy.

It's a great idea for future movies and trilogies, but not in the middle of a trilogy that's supposed to "wrap up" the Skywalker story.
