This is a shame as that is such a lovely area to go for walks. It also seems ill considered, when there are brown field sites and unused buildings that could be developed instead.

I suppose it might be fair to say, if there is not enough moderation, then identification should be required to join, but if there is active moderation, then ID may not be required.

I think it's important that we recognise it's not 'on social media', it's mostly 'on x' or 'on instagram', I can't imagine there would be as much abuse going on where there is active moderation.
These spaces need proper policing.

I definitely see your point though. after scrolling down my feed here, I feel worse than I did earlier. The irony is, I am following as many of the same people as I could find from my mastodon follows.

fediverse is nice, until your server blocks another server that has some of your friends on it. There has to be a middle ground.

my dentist closed down and transferred my records to a different dentist that I'd been kicked out of before i get my ADHD diagnosed and under control, so I have zero options.
I just have to hope that I don't get any issues, but I have no idea the condition of my teeth, for over 5 yrs now.
