Silksong was everything I wanted and more, well worth the wait (and Prince of Persia was the perfect Metroidvania to tide me over in the meantime). Already impatient for the next installment of Deltarune.

Here are some of my favorite "jams"! This little awards show isn't necessarily for media released this past year, but this sheet of music is all hot and fresh, from 2025.

My favorite shows this year were all both sincere and surprising (or at least silly)

I like to celebrate the media I discovered each year, and the human emotion and artistry poured into them. I brushed up on Blender in order to stylize my 2025 awards as tasty treats, starting with Movies!

Perdido Street Station by China Miéville is terrific maximalist fantasy, absolutely bursting at the seams with weirdness

Hard to convey just how affected I was by I Saw the TV Glow. Schoenbrun is a director to watch!!

Seeing Safety Last presented with a live organist was an absolute treat. And my warmest shoutout to Hundreds of Beavers for showing that a budget of $150k is enough to make a truly Great movie 🦫

Watched a lot of Dropout this year. Get a Dropout account! It's the best streaming service!

A primo year for tales of heartbreak and liberation across human history. Dayspring was my most anticipated and built wonderfully upon everything I loved about the short piece it originated from.

It's time for my annual awards show for media I discovered in the past year!

Lorelei was easily my favorite puzzler, but nods to The Case of the Golden Idol and Gorogoa as well!

I had some incredible FromSoft experiences in 2024. I also played Dark Souls 1.

So grateful to live in a city with such incredible theaters and stewards of film 🫡

I've awarded Scavenger's Reign "Best Sci-Fi" but honestly I could have also said "Best Overall". Absolute powerhouse

I'm defying my own arbitrary rules to put a Le Guin that I've already read on here. Sort of a "you never cross the same river twice" situation with her gorgeous work

I like to do a little awards show for media that I discovered and loved each year - here's what stuck with me in 2023! I also had a blast replaying Portal and Portal 2, and got utterly outsmarted by the free Portal Reloaded mod that introduces time travel
